Spring Show

Spring Show – March 2011:

The Spring Show is a judged show which will be held at the Stillwater Community Center, 8th and Duck. A maximum of 3 entries can be submitted by Stillwater Art Guild members (dues paid).

  • Drop off date – Monday, February 27  (3:pm-6:pm)
  • Reception – Saturday, March 3 (1:pm-4:pm)
  • Pick up date – Friday, March 30 (3:pm-6:pm)

General Rules:

  • Only paid members of the Stillwater Art Guild may enter, but you may join at the same time you drop off your art for the show.
  • Only three (3) works per member regardless of medium.
  • All work must have been completed within the last two (2) years and not previously entered in any annual Stillwater Art Guild judged show.
  • Photographs are considered completed when they are framed.
  • NO class work,  except work created during workshops.
  • NO photocopies.
  • Original artwork only. FAMILY FRIENDLY, please. NO NUDES.
    • Original means the painting must be authentic, one-of-a-kind work of art which may NOT be copied from any published photo or print (such as a magazine, book, art publication, or art work of another person).
    • Work must be the entering artist’s original concept, design, style, and fabrication.
  • All exhibiting artists must sign the artist entry form; failure to do so shall immediately disqualify the artist from participating.
  • Decisions of the Show Committee and Judges are final.

  • Sculpture/Pottery/3-D

Minimum size of artwork must be 8″x10″ excluding frame.
Maximum size is 24″x36″ excluding frame.
Frames must be wired for hanging with screw eyes 1/3 of the way down the sides of the frame.
All artwork must be signed.

Divisions for all media categories:

  • Children: under 13
  • Young People: 13-18 years of age
  • Adult: over 18 years of age, and further categorized as:
    • Advanced
    • Intermediate
    • Beginner

AWARDS:

  • Best of Show (1 only!)
  • For all categories and divisions:
    • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place, and Honorable Mention ribbons (To be awarded at Judge’s discretion – all decisions are FINAL!)
  • Show attendees will vote for a Peoples’ Choice (Certificate).
